Dear valued clients and colleagues,
As the holiday season approaches, we wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and safe holiday season.
It’s no secret that cyber crime has been on the rise globally in recent years, and Australia is no exception. This was evident in high-profile data breaches like the ones that occurred at Medibank and Optus earlier this year, which affected millions of customers and had significant financial and reputational impacts. According to the Australian Cyber Security Centre, there were over 76,000 cyber crime incidents reported in Australia in 2021-22, with a total cost of over $98 Million. This highlights the importance of staying vigilant and taking proactive measures to protect against cyber threats.
We know that this year has been a particularly busy one for everyone, especially in the field of cyber security. It’s been a challenging year, but we’re proud of the hard work and dedication that our team has put in to keep our clients protected. If you do run into any IT troubles over the holidays, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are always happy to assist and get you back up and running as soon as possible, even during the holiday season.
Looking ahead to 2023, we can already see that the trend will be shifting towards not only defending against threats, but actively hunting for them as well. In the coming months of January and February, we’ll be rolling out some exciting changes to better serve our clients in this regard. We look forward to continuing to work with you in the new year and helping you stay ahead of the curve in terms of cybersecurity.
We hope that you have a chance to relax and enjoy some well-deserved time off over the holidays. From all of us at Tech Troubleshooters, we wish you the very best for the new year.
Sincerely,
Kelly Hunn
